Abstract Expressionism: Mindset

These abstract expressionist-like shots are not everyone’s cup of tea. I like them though. They appeal to me at several levels and not just aesthetically. They are easy to make. They are a bit random so I tend to surprise myself with cool looking ones every so often… like the toy in the cereal box when you were a kid. I guess they also let me shoot when traditional “good light” is done. I normally take them just after golden hour and they allow me to play a little before packing it in for a day. Maybe that is why I like them… it is not everyday you get in a playful, “toy in the cereal box” mindset.
